SANDS Lab to showcase mouse-sized home-IoT MNX at CES 2026, unveiling AI security innovation

SANDS Lab will exhibit at CES 2026 an ultra-compact home-IoT security device built on its AI-based NDR solution 'MNX.'

AI security firm SANDS Lab (KOSDAQ 411080, CEO Kim Ki-hong) will participate in CES 2026, the world's largest IT and appliance exhibition, in Las Vegas from January 6-9, running a booth to showcase a next-generation security device aimed at home IoT environments.

The product SANDS Lab is exhibiting embeds its AI-based network threat detection and response (NDR) solution 'MNX' into an ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight device. As more AI-enabled IoT devices fill homes, connected networks grow more complex and attack surfaces expand — this home-IoT version of MNX was built to continuously monitor, detect, and respond to information leaks, hacking attempts, and abnormal traffic that can occur in a home environment.

It's also intuitive to use: simply connect it to a home wireless router, with no complex setup or specialized knowledge required, to monitor the entire network immediately. It can also technically be built directly into a router or IoT device, and SANDS Lab plans to use CES to introduce the technology to global network-equipment and appliance makers and explore collaboration.

Home-IoT security devices have existed before, but many were limited to basic malware detection or simply identifying unencrypted traffic, limiting their real-world usefulness. SANDS Lab's home-IoT MNX, by contrast, is built on the same AI-based NDR technology used in enterprise environments and observes every communication flow in the home rather than inspecting a single file or app.

The MNX shown at CES stands out for bringing the specialized security functions and performance of an enterprise-grade NDR solution into a home-IoT setting — inside a device smaller than the palm of a hand.

According to Shin Seung-chul, the principal engineer who led product development, "AI-based NDR doesn't just look for known threat signatures — it learns the network's normal baseline and detects deviations from it, covering novel attacks and variant threats that manufacturers struggle to address."

Through its CES 2026 participation, SANDS Lab plans to set a new bar for advanced home AI security while introducing its technology — enterprise-grade NDR realized in an ultra-compact device — to the global market in earnest.
