SANDS Lab specializes in AI-based cyber threat intelligence (CTI). It develops and provides technologies to prevent harmful uses of AI, including deepfakes, voice phishing and voice synthesis, as well as specialized large language models (sLLMs) for on-premises environments, where organizations own, install and operate their own servers.
As deepfake crime recently emerged as a serious social issue, the company opened FakeCheck to the public to help eradicate digital crime and ease public anxiety. Users can visit the website and upload a suspected deepfake image to receive an authenticity assessment within seconds. The service focuses on its core function, removing cumbersome registration and authentication so that anyone can use it easily.

SANDS Lab’s flagship brand is CTX (Cyber Threat X). It analyzes files using an AI engine and supports searches for specific hashes (MDS, SHA1 and SHA256), providing information on maliciousness, attack groups, target countries and industries, and MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
SANDS Lab also participates in national R&D projects related to generative AI through IITP. It is conducting research under an information security core technology development project awarded jointly with 42Maru, KAIST, Logpresso and LG Uplus, taking responsibility for technologies that detect and respond to harmful uses of generative AI.
