AI-based cyber threat intelligence specialist SANDS Lab (KOSDAQ 411080, CEO Kim Ki-hong) announced that it showcased its services and solutions at RSA Conference 2024, held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from the 6th to the 9th.

The annual RSA Conference is the world’s largest cybersecurity conference and exhibition. This year it drew 600 exhibitors and more than 41,000 attendees. Following last year’s participation, SANDS Lab again operated an independent booth to present its AI-based offerings.

Its flagship CTX (Cyber Threat X) is a next-generation intelligence brand that uses an AI engine for file analysis and hash searches (MD5, SHA1 and SHA256), providing detailed information on maliciousness, related attack groups, target countries and industries, and MITRE ATT&CK techniques.

Demonstrations included the CTX AI intelligence platform, CTX for GPT generative AI intelligence model, CTX datasets for cybersecurity AI training and development, and MNX network threat detection and response, attracting visitors’ attention.

While many exhibitors, including big tech companies, emphasized integrated AI solutions and technologies, SANDS Lab focused on niches needing broad accessibility and development flexibility, from global enterprises to small businesses and startups. Its theme was “Cyber Threat Intelligence, Affordable for Everyone.”

Visitors ranged from Google, Adobe and Cisco representatives to smaller international security company leaders and AI developers. They explored Korean intelligence technology and responded positively to CTX’s attack group classifications, support for diverse file formats and dataset purchasing options. The feed service, which regularly delivers specific threat information requested by customers, drew particularly strong interest.

An on-site representative said, “RSA is where we can directly see that our technology is moving with global trends. We will maximize synergy with MNX and strengthen medium- and long-term momentum through a portfolio suited to cloud migration and expansion.”

CEO Kim Ki-hong said, “Most global security vendors at RSA included AI technology in their exhibits. AI and cybersecurity are now inseparable. We confirmed that our massive datasets and the AI trained on them can provide practical help in security work. Lower production costs give us a price advantage even when producing the same information, and many small and medium-sized companies visited for consultations because they wanted integration.” He added, “Having directly confirmed global demand, we will accelerate overseas expansion through our cloud security strategy in cooperation with Microsoft.”
