SANDS Lab's AI-based NDR to be supplied in Japan — signs overseas distribution deal for 'MNX'

AI security firm SANDS Lab (KOSDAQ 411080, CEO Kim Ki-hong) announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Japanese partner PIOPLATFORM for its AI-based NDR (network detection and response) solution 'MNX.' PIOPLATFORM holds an extensive distribution network in Japan's SMB market.

The agreement is a significant follow-up to the memorandum of understanding SANDS Lab signed with PIOPLATFORM in March this year, moving the official partnership for entering the Japanese market into a formal contract stage. Japan is known as a market with rigorous technical screening for security solutions, and this deal is seen as evidence of the competitiveness of SANDS Lab's core 'AI for Security' technology.

Through the distribution agreement, PIOPLATFORM secures an exclusive base for supplying SANDS Lab's NDR solution to small and mid-sized (SMB) customers in Japan, while SANDS Lab completes its distribution partner system for full-scale expansion in Japan.

Network packets collected by MNX's lightweight sensors are analyzed in real time on local Japanese cloud infrastructure, and all functions — including SANDS Lab's AI-based threat detection — are provided in Japanese. The solution meets the lightweight, cloud-operation requirements of the Japanese SMB environment while delivering the same detection performance, clearing Japan's high technical bar.

SANDS Lab's AI-based NDR solution MNX analyzes traffic across the entire network with AI to detect and visualize even unknown threats, and includes an AI security assistant function that presents automated response guidance to operators.
